Kathmandu, Nov. 10: President Bidya Devi Bhandari Monday unveiled ‘Maile Bujheko Gandhi’, a special pictorial anthology on Mahatma Gandhi in Nepali language.
Amid a function organised here at the Shital Niwas, the President unveiled the anthology.
Indian Ambassador to Nepal Vinay M Kwatra was also present at the event.
The anthology was released to celebrate the 151st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Embassy of India stated in its statement.
The book has been brought out by the Embassy of India along with the B. P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation to cherish the values of Gandhi's universal teachings with Nepalis.
It brings together for the first time uniquely Nepali perspectives on this revered global icon in the form of personal contributions from 25 eminent and distinguished personalities representing a rich cross section of voices, the embassy said.
The publication also hopes to bring the youth of Nepal closer to Mahatma Gandhi, whose life and ideals remain timeless, universal and relevant for today's world.
