By Lokendra Joshi, Darchula, Dec. 7: A total of three persons including the driver died on the spot after a truck met with an accident on Sunday night at Bhartola, Malikarjun Gaunpalika in Gokuleshwor-Darchula road section in Baitadi district.
The deceased have been identified as Sher Singh Karki, 24, of Dogdakedar Gaunpalika-5, Dhan Singh Bhandari, 24, of Dogdakedar-6 and Chandra Singh Bista, 17, of Sailyasikhar Municipality-9 of Darchula, informed Puskar Singh Aire, police inspector and information officer at Darchula District Police Office.
The bodies have been sent to Darchula District for post mortem.
The truck, with registration number Na 3 Kha 3485, was heading towards Khalanga, Darchula headquarters from Gokuleshwor at Sailyasikhar Municipality-9.
“After we received information about the accident at around 10 pm on Sunday night, we had deployed officials from Dhap Police Station and Dattu Police Station,” said inspector Aire.
The police had recovered the bodies from a ravine nearby at around 12:30 am on Sunday night. The truck had plunged around 120 meters down, informed the police
