Kathmandu, Feb 27 : The fourth Nepal-Bangladesh Youth Conference is being kicked off in the federal capital today. The event was earlier delayed due to Covid-19 menace.
Sustainable development goals (SDGs), climate change and mitigating measures, participation of youths in development activities and entrepreneurial promotion are the agenda to be featured significantly in the event, according to representative of organizing body, Abhinav Chaudhary.
Youth Development Centre and South Asia Partnership are organizing the event while the Embassy of Bangladesh, Nepal Tourism Board, and National Youth Council are cooperating for it. The role of youths in promotion of trade between Nepal and Bangladesh will be discussed thoroughly in the conference. Performance would be made on folk cultures of both countries.
Similarly, expansion of bilateral relations and possible cooperation for public health post-Covid-19 are other issues to surface in the conference. Earlier, the first and third conferences were held in Kathmandu and the second in Itahari.
The fifth conference would be held in Bangladesh.
It was informed that 65 persons including 25 youths from Bangladesh would participate in the event.
