Kathmandu, Feb.1: The Nepali Congress scheduled its second phase protest against the ‘unconstitutional and ‘undemocratic’ dissolution of the House of Representatives (HOR), increasing corruption, the government failure to control and deal with the COVID-19 and bad governance from Monday.
As per a decision of the NC Central Working Committee, its 13 sister organisations would take to the street in the second phase.
Issuing a statement on Sunday, NC’s 13 sister organisation urged all members and well-wishers of the party to participate in the protest of Monday.
Nepal Women Association chair Uma Regmi, Nepal Tarun Dal chair Jeet Jung Basnet, Nepal Student Union chair Rajib Dhungana, Democartic Leader/Senani Association chair Tanka Prasad Sharma Kadel, Nepal Farmers Association chair Manu Bhakta Sigdel, Dalit Association chair Meen Bahadur Bishwokarma, Bhutpurba Sainik Association chair Dhan Bahadur Rana, Aadiwasi Janajsti Association chair Indra Bahadur Gurung, National Democratic Disable Association chair Bhoj Raj Shrestha, Nepal Muslim Association chair Abdul Satar, Tamang Association chair Kebal Bahadur Lama, Nepal Magar Association chair Om Thapa Magar and Thakur Society’s chair Anirudra Thakur in their joint statement said they would jointly launch the protest in all 77 districts on Monday.
