Kathmandu, Feb. 24: The Parliamentary Party of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has instructed its lawmakers to be compulsorily present at the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Thursday.
Chief whip Pushpa Bhusal informed that all the members of the HoR from the NC were directed to be present compulsorily in the meeting of the HoR slated for 1 pm on Thursday.
She said that the lawmakers were asked to be present as the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact is going to be discussed in the HoR from Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Parliamentary Secretariat made public the parliament business of Thursday including a proposal to discuss the MCC in the meeting.
According to the parliament secretariat, Minister for Finance Janardan Sharma will present a proposal to discuss the matter in the Lower House session on Thursday on behalf of the government.
Dr. Bharat Raj Gautam, General Secretary in the secretariat, said that Minister for Law Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dilendra Prasad Badu will present annual report of the Attorney General and Finance Minister will present a proposal on MCC Compact for the discussion in the House.
