Kathmandu, Jan. 15: In view of the spike in the cases of COVID-19 on a daily basis, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has decided to manage adequate number of human resources for the health institutions.
A minister-level decision was made to extend the contract period of all health workers hired on contract basis by three months.
The MoHP has decided to extend the contract of all hired health working at teaching hospitals, academies, hospitals and laboratories, according to Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari, assistant spokesperson for the MoHP.
Dr. Adhikari said the ministry on Thursday directed all the health institutions to renew the contract period for three months beginning on January 15 and ensure management of required number of human resources in all the hospitals.
