By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 17: The government revenue has risen in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2020/21.
Surpassing the amount of FY 2019/20, the revenue of FY 2020/21 is up by Rs 232.8 billion. Financial Comptroller General Office (FCGO) revealed that the revenue has jumped up to the Rs 938.3 billion mark from Rs 705.4 billion of the FY 2019/20.
In the government revenue, the FCGO statistics have shown that the taxable revenue has been significantly rosed while a fall has been seen in the non-taxable revenue.
The statistics have shown that taxable revenue increased by Rs 256.7 billion. The revenue for the FY 2020/21 has stood Rs 870.1 billion up from Rs 613.3 billion of FY 2019/20.
In addition, the proportion of the taxable revenue has been significantly improved in FY 2020/21 in comparison to FY 2019/20. The statistics of 2020/21, have shown that the proportion of taxable revenue crossed 95.31 per cent of the annual target.
However, the non-taxable income revenue has fallen down. For the FY 2020/21, the amount of non-taxable- revenue has shrunken down by Rs 23 billion. The statistics have shown that the non-taxable revenue in the FY 2020/21 stood Rs 68.2 billion that shrunken down from Rs 92.1 billion of FY 2019/20.
