By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb. 3: Member of the political committee of Janata Samajwadi Party and former member of the Constituent Assembly Shivjee Yadav said that he entered Nepal Communist Party to work for the nation and citizens.
"The decision of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's decision to receive a fresh mandate from the public is appropriate. Thus, I decided to enter the NCP," said Yadav.
Prime Minister Oli had welcomed leader Yadav to the party amid a programme organised at the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar on Tuesday night at 9:00 pm.
Speaking to The Rising Nepal on Wednesday, leader Yadav said, "The leaders of Madhes parties entered in politics to fulfill their personal interest. They only played with the sentiments of nation and public."
He added that to opt for election is the best democratic system. "Holding a mid-term election is not regression. The government's decision to dissolve the House of Representatives and hold an election is noteworthy," he said.
However, as the HoR dissolution case is sub-judice in the Supreme Court, the apex court's decision will be final, he clarified.
"Prime Minister Oli has assured that he would allow the party's responsibility when the time comes," said leader Yadav, adding "I have not demanded any position. Serving the nation and citizens from NCP is my main interest."
