Population management govt priority: Minister Dhakal 

Minister for Health and Population Bhanubhakta Dhakal has said government prioritizes the management of population for country's development. Giving a message on the occasion of the 25th World Population Day today, Minister Dhakal claimed that Nepal has made progress in control of population growth, improvement in reproductive health, discouragement and decline in child marriage, and promotion to safe motherhood.    

Nine, out of 21, missing in Myagdi landslides found dead  

Nine out of 21 people, who went missing in landslides occurred at different parts of Marang in Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality-6 of Myagdi have been found dead.  

MoCIT thanks cable operators for blocking Indian channels

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MoCIT) has expressed serious concern over the publication/dissemination of ill-intended and ill-founded news reports about Nepal and its Prime Minister by some Indian media outlets. Issuing a statement on Friday, the Ministry has urged all sides to become sensitive on the matter, as it was against the international norms and practice of journalism and could have an adverse impact on Nepal-India relations.

Twenty people have gone missing in the flooding incident that occurred in Sindhupalchok district.     According to the District Police office, out of the missing people, 16 are from Bahrabise municipality and four from Bhotekoshi rural municipality.

Two dead, 18 persons missing in Bahrabise flooding 

The heavy rain and flooding occurred since last night has claimed two lives at Jambu in Bahrabise Municipality in Sindhupalchowk district. Officials said that and 18 individuals are missing in the landslides.
