  Damauli-Dumre route reopens two-way after weeklong disruption   

The Damauli-Dumre road section along the Prithvi Highway has reopened for two-way traffic from Monday night following a week-long disruption.      The highway was closed for traffic after its part at the Damauli-Dumre section caved-in on July 21 due to incessant rains. Tanahu's Assistant Chief District Officer Chitrangat Baral said the route had been readied for the two-way operation with the completion of its restoration.

Four die in rain-caused disaster  

Four persons died in rain-caused disaster at various places of Baglung district.          A landslide occurred at Tamankhola Rural Municipality-2 last night killed two teenagers. As the house belonging to Pal Bahadur BK crumbled with landslide, it killed Khima Bahadur BK, 13, and Rita BK, 12.    

10 houses in Durlung at high risk: geologists   

Geologists have recommended the administration here to immediately shift 10 houses of Durlung village in the district to a safer location. The houses in the vicinity of the landslide occurred two weeks back are in high risk of further disaster, the geologists warned after holding field study.
