Damauli, March 25 : Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Julie Kumari Mahato, has carried out an onsite inspection of the location at Dhakaltar, Aanbukhaireni rural municipality-2, Tanahun district.
The Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens is constructing a children's home at the site. The land belongs to Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
On the occasion, Minister Mahato said construction of the children's home would be forwarded after transferring the ownership of the land to the Ministry through a Cabinet decision.
She directed the engineer at the federal Project Implementation Unit Office Pokhara to prepare the estimate and design of the children's home.
The area of the land plot at Dhakaltar under NEA's ownership is 54 ropanis. Of this area, the children's home is to be constructed on 28 ropanis land, said chief administrative officer of Aanbukhaireni rural municipality, Bishnu Prasad Pokharel, said.
Rural municipality chairperson Gir Bahadur Thapa, who accompanied the Minister during the onsite inspection, pledged the necessary cooperation from the rural municipality for the construction of the children's home.
