Damauli, Jan 30: Chairperson of the National Assembly, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, has garlanded the martyrs' monuments at Bandipur rural municipality of Tanahu district today on the occasion of Martyr's Day.
Garlanding the statues of martyrs at Martyrs Memorial Park, NA Chair Timilsina said that we should not forget martyrs' sacrifice and contribution.
He mentioned Nepal has reached in today's situation due to contribution of martyrs in different movements of the country. The NA chair stressed the need of making martyrs' contribution long-lasting.
NA member Bhagawati Neupane and chairperson of Bandipur rural municipality, Purna Singh Thapa, also garlanded the martyrs' memorials. A total of six statues of martyrs, who were executed by Rana in the movement of 2007 BS, have been constructed at the Park.
