Kawasoti, Dec 11 : Police have cleared the demonstrations and resumed the vehicular movement along the Dumkibas area in Nawalparasi (East) of the East-West Highway.
Earlier today, the locals had protested in the highway by disrupting vehicles over the death of tractor driver Hari Shyam Yadav. Police said that the situation there has returned to normalcy and the vehicles have moved to their destinations.
The local residents had also protested in front of the police office in Dumkibas claiming that the 24-year-old tractor driver was beaten to death by police personnel.
However, police said that tractor driver Yadav of Rajpur Rural Municipality-4 from Dang district died after his tractor (Lu 3 Ta 8175) met with an accident near Binayikhola in Binayi Triveni-2.
The local people have asked the administration to probe into the death of Yadav.
