By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 11: The Standing Committee meeting of the ruling CPN (UML) scheduled for today afternoon has been postponed until tomorrow, July 12, according to Sher Bahadur Tamang, secretary of the UML headquarters.
The meeting was expected to finalise a joint statement to be issued by UML Chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.
It is said that the standing committee meeting could not be held as the meeting of the task force comprised of 10 leaders, five each from Chair Oli and dissenting leader Nepal, entrusted with responsibility of preparing the statement by resolving issues related to intra-party rift continued till late afternoon.
