Kathmandu, Dec. 10: Chairperson of the CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli has said that his party was ready to cooperate with the ruling Nepali Congress on nationality, democracy, justice, equality, and development of the country.
Delivering his message of best wishes at the inaugural session of the NC's ongoing 14th General Convention here in Kathmandu on Friday, the former prime minister reminded that cooperation among big political parties brought political changes and transformed the country into a bright era of the republic from the era of darkness. "Big parties like the NC and UML have been cooperating on the issues of the constitution, development, nationality, democracy, good governance, stability, social justice, and equality."
Claiming that some small parties are worried about being ousted from the incumbent government if the NC does not support them, he said, "For what there is cooperation among them? The UML is with the NC for building the nation. We are together for the purpose."
He also suggested that the NC sticks to its policies and polishes its glorified history through this convention.
