Transportation services have come to a complete halt in the upper area of Manang district due to heavy snowfall since Friday. Police have been mobilised to remove the snow from the roads.
Chief District Officer Pushpa Raj Poudel said that vehicular movement had stopped completely since the heavy snowfall.
Locals said that the snow was piled one-feet on Saturday and Sunday after snowfall in the area.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Tika Bahadur Karki said that some snow had fallen on the road around Chame but they had removed snow from the market area.
According to Ramesh Bhuwaji, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the Armed Police Force 32 number Chame, the armed police force has removed the snow from the market area and the government offices in Chame.
