Nawalpur, July 2 : The one way vehicular movement has come into operation from 9am today along the Butwal-Narayanghat section of the East-West Highway.
The traffic on this section of the highway was disrupted for 21 hours after diversions at Thumsi in Gaidakot were swept away by flood on Thursday morning following incessant rain occurred since Wednesday night.
The security personnel were continuously trying their best even to ensure a one-way traffic and got success late this morning after constructing new diversions at the disrupted points, said Area Police Post Gaindakot chief Laxmi Pandey.
Pandey added that emergency vehicles and light vehicles were prioritized for their cross movements there. With the one way traffic operation, the road section is witnessing declining traffic pressure of late.
