By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 8: A meeting of the senior leaders of the parties in the ruling coalition has ended finalizing the common minimum programme (CMP) of the government.
The meeting gave a final touch to the CMP and it is likely that it will be unveiled today afternoon, said Bishnu Sapkota, press coordinator of CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda.'
Earlier, a task force of the ruling alliance had submitted a draft of the CMP to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
The CMP has highlighted on issues that government should prioritise in the days to come, the minimum code of conduct of the government ministers, and issues pertaining to the constitution amendment, according to a member of the task force formed to draft the CMP.
Present in the meeting held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Deuba were Maoist Center Chair Prachanda, Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal, Chair Upendra Yadav and Rashtriya Janamorcha Chair Chitra Bahadur KC, besides the members of the task force.
