Three Nepali climbers summit Mt. Lubuche

Solukhumbu, Oct. 31: Three Nepalis have successfully summited Mount Lubuche in Solukhumbu. Lakpa Sherpa and Rinji Sherpa from Solududhkunda Municipality-10 and Binod Mani Rai from Thulung Dudhkoshi Gaunpalika-6 reached the peak of the 6,119-metre mountain at 10 AM on Thursday.
At a time when foreign tourists and mountaineering expeditions have all but stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the three Nepali nationals from Solukhumbu scaled the mountain to encourage domestic tourism.
This group, which is the second mountaineering team to climb a Nepali peak in 2020, was managed by Wongchhu Peak Promotion Trek and Expedition.The peak was recently climbed by the prince of Bahrain Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and his team comprising of 15 members.
