Baniyani, Dec 28 : Police arrested three persons including two employees for providing fake citizenship certificates with the misuse of software used for the service.
Spokesperson of District Police Office Jhapa, DSP Rakesh Thapa shared that the police team arrested Dhananjaya Kumar Saha, 37, office in-charge of the Area Administration Office Gaurigunj, Asir Alam, 24, office assistant and Krishna Prasad Timsina, 59, of Gauradaha-7 for allegedly involved in citizenship forgery.
According to spokesperson Thapa, the arrestees were found distributing fake citizenship certificates to Amrit Rai, Deepika Rai and Bishal Rai of Gauradaha municipality-7.
“There are no evidences and records related to the citizenship certificate-distributed in the Area Administration Office Gaurigunj”, he further informed.
Three people including employees were held suspecting their involvement in the misuse of software for providing fake citizenship certificates, Thapa said, adding that the recipients of the citizenship were not found to be the resident of the area mentioned and the citizenship cards having same numbers were distributed with the misuse of machine.
