Hetauda, Jan 26: Police here have made public three persons held on the charge of supplying cannabis illegally via ambulance.
The arrested ones were Muhammad Khalid, 39, of Dumariya in Rautahat and Ashok Kumar, 19, from the same place and Indian national Binod Sahani, 22, from Indian State of Bihar, according to the District Police Office, Makawanpur.
Acting on a tip-off, police had intercepted the ambulance (Ba 2 Jha 1749) on Saturday evening and seized six packs of illegal drugs hidden in three bags, informed Superintendent of Police (SP), Sushil Singh Rathor.
The ambulance that belonged to the Dumariya Health Post was moving to Hetauda from Manahari and was stopped at Newarpani in Hetauda, police said.
According to SP Rathor, the marijuana weighed 30 grams.
Seized along with the illegal drugs were Rs 90,000 and Indian currency worth Rs 2,000 from the arrested ones.
