Gandaki, May 11 : Shankar Gaire of Baganashkali Rural Municipality-7 in Palpa district has been conferred with Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the Texas A & M University in the USA.
Gaire completed his research on pathology and microbiology. University’s vice-chancellor Patrick Stover decorated Gaire with the doctorate degree. Gaire had completed his masters degree at Chaitwan-based Agriculture Campus.
He had also taught in the Agriculture and Forest University in Chitwan for two years before leaving for the USA for the PhD five years ago.
According to Gaire, the academic calendar in the USA was not adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The teaching, learning and research activities continued unabated in the University where Gaire was pursuing his research which resulted in timely completion of his research and conferral of the PhD.
