Kathmandu, March 28 : A suspension bridge has been constructed to connect religious, cultural and tourism areas of Lalitpur metropolis-22.
Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal inaugurated the bridge amidst a programme today. The bridge was built to establish easy linkage between Karyabinayak and Machhindrabahal.
The suspension bridge with a length of 135-meter was constructed at the cost of over Rs 7.97 million. The suspension bridges built around the Kathmandu valley have also been touristic values and attraction.
It is believed that the bridge would help promote tourism opportunities in and around Karyabinayak and Machhindrabahal.
In absence of the bridge earlier, it was difficult for the tourists to reach both the places at once.
Minister Bhusal took the initiative to construct the bridge through the Local Infrastructure Development Programme.
