Mangalbare, April 12 : The touristic town of Fikkal is hosting the Third Suryodaya Street Festival on April 14 and 15 on the occasion of the Nepali New Year 2079 BS.
The street festival is to be organized jointly by the Suryodaya Hotel Entrepreneurs Association and Aayam United Club, Fikkal. The festival is expected to contribute to promoting tourism in the area.
There will be 35 stalls offering local dishes to visitors in the festival. Traditional dishes of the Newar, Rai and Limbu communities would be offered.
Various artistes from several musical bands will be performing on the occasion.
Province no 1 government has declared Suryodaya Municipality as a tourist town. The entry to the street festival will be free, the organisers said. One hundred fifty thousand visitors are expected to visit the event.
