A statue and a memorial park of great warrior Sardar Bansha Gurung have been built at Jamsur in Suklagandaki Municipality, Tahanun. With the initiation of the Hunter Sardar Bansha Gurung Memorial Foundation the park and
statue were built. The park was constructed from the money collected in a fund.
Ward chair of the municipality Maniraj Gurung said that Rs.2,500,000 was collected for the
construction of the park and statue.
The municipality had allocated Rs.300, 000 for the park construction project, said Gurung.
The statue was inaugurated by Chief Minister of Gandaki State Prithvi Subba Gurung.
On the occasion, CM Gurung highlighted the important contribution made by the great warrior Bansha Gurung.
Vice Chancellor of Nepal Academy Dr. Jagman Gurung said that Bansha Gurung was sent to Sindhuli Gadhi with Bir Bhadra Upadhayay after English attacked the fort and Gurung managed to chase away the British troop from Sindhuli.
