Khandbari, July 16 : The households from Shilichong-1 of Sankhuwasabha district have been managed shelters after they were displaced with landslides last Sunday. Nepal Army Baraha Dal constructed the temporary shelters to the displaced ones at local Budhbare bazaar.
On Tuesday, State-1 government had supplied relief materials to 380 persons from 82 households which were shifted to safer location by the Nepal Army. After the arrival of relief materials including the tents, the NA persons set up the temporary houses. Shilichong Rural Municipality Chairman Ram Bahadur Kulung informed that efforts were underway to continue additional relief materials and search of the missing ones.
The Nepal Army also managed drinking water, electricity and toilets in the temporary settlement. Chief District Officer Jivan Prasad Acharya said 11 persons were still missing in the landslide. A person was found dead while 11 are still missing in the landslide occurred last Sunday night.
After the landslide, former Minister of State for Drinking Water Dipak Khadka and tourism entrepreneur Mingma Sherpa had rescued 15 persons via helicopter on their own expense.
