Kathmandu, Dec. 20: Seven students from the families of the cooperative members who obtained high marks in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) of the year were honoured at the 15th general assembly of Gorkhapatra Employee Multipurpose Cooperative Limited on Saturday.
Executive Chairman of Gorkhapatra Corporation (GC) Bishnu Prasad Subedi honoured the students with certificates and cash prizes. Among those honoured are Pratham Timalsina, Prachi Rajbanshi, Achuta Bhattarai, Anusha Banskota, Ayusa Regmi, Nyasa Timilsina and Prakriti Sharma.
Similarly, Rasil Kumar Sharma and Saroj Adhikari were honoured as outstanding members of the cooperative.
Chairman of the cooperative Deepak Poudel presented the financial report of the fiscal year 2020/21 and the policy and programme for FY 2021/22.
According to the report, the cooperative has 382 members and has accumulated a share capital of Rs. 3.3 million.
Similarly, secretary of the cooperative Bimala Ghimire presented a report on the overall economic condition and future strategy of the cooperative.
According to Treasurer Indira Pandey, the cooperative made a profit of Rs. 254,635 in the last fiscal year.
