Morang, Nov. 4: Province no 1 Chief Minister Rajendra Rai has extended best wishes to all the Nepali sisters and brothers residing in the country and abroad on the occasion of Deepawali and Chhath festivals and the Nepal Sambat New Year 1142. He has wished for the happiness, peace and prosperity of all Nepalis on the occasion.
In a message of best wishes today, CM Rai said as Nepal is a nation rich in festivals and full of diverse languages, religions, cultures and traditions, it was the need of the day to preserve and promote the individual uniqueness of such festivals.
He urged one and all to play their role from respective sectors towards minimizing the extravagance and wastefulness that is sometimes seen in society in course of celebrating the festivals. The festivals should be celebrated as an occasion for social get-togethers and bridges to forge social bonds and harmony.
