Kathmandu, Apr. 14: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Parbat Gurung said on Tuesday that the national aspiration of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’ could be achieved only by maintaining unity and common understanding among all Nepalis.
Speaking at a greeting exchange programme organised at the ministry on the eve of Nepali New Year-2078, Minister Gurung said that only maintaining command, understanding and unity could help fulfill the national aspiration of national prosperity.
“All Nepalis should demonstrate a feeling of nationalism by developing a common view towards national prosperity and happiness of all citizens,” Minister Gurung, who is also the government spokesperson, said. He also said the New Year resolution of the government would be turning the nation ‘Prosperous and Happy Nepal’.
Minister Gurung said that the nation should first be made strong and capable enough so as to be heard internationally. “We just keep on talking and taking reference that some particular country has this and that power and strength in the world, but we do not think and discuss how we can make Nepal powerful,” he said.
On the occasion, Minister Gurung also extended his New Year greetings to all the Nepalis living in and outside the country.
The government is marching towards the path of achieving national aspiration of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali and in the coming too, the government will focus on the same, he said.
On the occasion, various departmental heads and officials under the ministry exchanged their New Year greetings.
