Kathmandu, June 21: Chairman of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the five-party alliance was formed with the conclusion to struggle for safeguarding nationality.
Addressing the party central committee’s virtual meeting on Monday, the former PM said that the opponent parties’ alliance was formed to protect the constitution, federal democratic republic and other achievements obtained from the people’s sacrifices.
On the occasion, Prachanda briefed the party central committee members about the latest political developments.
The meeting also sacked 14 elected local level’s representatives from the Maoist Centre after they joined other political party. Those being sacked from the Maoist Centre include mayors, deputies, ward chairpersons and some others.
Most of the local levels’ representatives facing action from the Maoist Centre party are from Rautahat and Kailali districts.
