Kathmandu, Oct 14 : Inspector General of Police Sarbendra Khanal on Sunday night left for Chile to take part in the 88th INTERPOL General Assembly scheduled for October 15-18.
IGP Khanal is accompanied by Deputy Inspector General of Police at the Central Investigation Bureau, Niraj Bahadur Shahi and Senior Superintendent of Police at INTERPOL section, Umesh Raj Joshi.
To be attended by chief of 194 INTERPOL member states, the Assembly would discuss 19 points issues relating to security measures to be taken by crime and security sector across the world, according to the police headquarters, Kathmandu.
Following IGP Khanal's departure, Additional Inspector General of Police Puskar Karki has been assigned to look after day-to-day work of police administration in the absence of IGP.
