By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Apr. 10: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inaugurated the 55th Annual General Meeting of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) today.
Addressing the inauguration event, Prime Minister Oli extended the wishes for the successful completion of the AGM and vowed that FNCCI along with all the business sector has the full support of the government. He vehemently said that this government is focused on “Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali”.
In the ceremony, Prime Minister has unveiled the ‘Vision Paper’ of FNCCI that enshrined its goal for 2030. The vision paper entitled “National Economic Transformation 2030” emphasis the private sector for prosperity and growth.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, President, Shikhar Golchha said that FNCCI has a master plan to transform Nepal into a $100 Billion Economy by 2030.
Subsequently, there will be an addition of 2.2 million employment and the trade deficit will be reduced by 50 per cent within this span of time. Golchha highlighted that there is a need for a bunch of policy reforms in order to streamline the growth rate.
