Kathmandu, Aug 29 : The process of parliamentary hearing of the Nepali ambassadors proposed to be appointed for Germany, Belgium and Pakistan has begun. The Federal Parliamentary Hearing Committee has initiated the process along with a notice inviting complaints, if any, against the proposed candidates.
The government has proposed Joint Secretaries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gehendra Rajbhandari (to Belgum and EU), Tapas Adhikari (to Pakistan) and Ram Kaji Khadka (to Germany) as the new ambassadors of Nepal. Their names have been sent for the parliamentary hearing.
The Friday meeting of the Committee had decided to publish a notice seeking complaints within 10 days on the proposed candidates, according to its Chair Laxman Lal Karna.
Following endorsement by the parliamentary hearing committee, the appointments are made by the President on the recommendation of the government.
