Inaruwa, Sept 11: A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident that took place at Sonapur in Duhabi Municipality-8 of Sunsari district.
The deceased has been identified as Sulabh Giri, 30, of Sarlahi Lalbandi Municipality-8, said Sunsari Deputy Superintendent of Police Narendra Kumar Karki.
The motorcycle (Na 55 Pa 9979) heading towards Duhabi from Khanar was hit by a truck (Ko 1 Ka 3395) while entering the Binayak Oxygen Factory on Friday. Giri, who was critically injured in the mishap, died while undergoing treatment at the hospital, according to police.
The truck and its driver Narayan Shrestha, 60, of Dharan-8, Sunsari have been taken under control by the police.
