By Our Correspondent, Rajbiraj, May 24: An elderly has died of beating by neighbour in Ward 1 of Mahadeva Gaunpalika in Saptari district.
The deceased has been identified as 80-year-old Subilal Yadav.

According to police, Yadav was beaten by the neighbour following land dispute. Yadav, who had severe injuries in head and leg, was admitted to the Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital for treatment.

“Yadav was discharged on May 9 and receiving necessary medicine at his home. He died on May 21,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police Tilak Bharati, spokesperson at Saptari District Police Office.

Yadav’s body was sent to the Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital for autopsy but was then referred to Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.

Police is said to have started investigating into the case.

Meanwhile, a 20-year-old Bibha Kumari Yadav died after consuming poison at her house in Ward 1 of Chhinnamasta Gaunpalika.

“Bibha Kumari had consumed the poison on Friday night and died while undergoing treatment at the Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital on Saturday morning,” said Bharati.

According to Bharati, they are investigating into the case to see if the suicide was a result of abetment.
