Kathmandu, Oct. 29: The Supreme Court failed to conduct a hearing on Friday as well although Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana had assigned Justices for the hearing on eight cases.
A division bench was assigned for CJ himself and Justice Dr Kumar Chudal. The court later mentioned it as 'no adequate time for hearing' while others were mentioned 'no bench for hearing.'
The justices at Supreme Court have denied conducting the hearing, complaining about the behavior of CJ Rana that they argued the CJ sought stake in Cabinet expansion. No hearing is conducted at SC since Monday.
Although a full-court meeting was planned to resolve the dispute at SC on Monday, it could not be held. CJ Rana has however refuted the allegation and asserted that he was discharging his duty as per the constitution.
The justice seekers who come from various parts of the country have been badly affected due to the stalled hearing.
