Jhapa, Dec 4: A total of nine dengue patients have been found in two local levels in the Jhapa district recently.
Five cases were reported in Birtamode Municipality and four in Mechinagar Municipality, according to the record maintained at the Department of Health at Birtamode Municipality.
The dengue patients have already returned home from the hospital after enjoying full recovery, said Manmohan Hospital's Dr Subesh Shaurab.
The Hospital has treated 10 dengue patients for 10 days, said Dr Shaurab.
Most of the patients were labourers and most of the cases were reported from areas adjoining to the Siddhartha Hotel in ward no 4, said Health Department's focal person Tulsi Pokharel.
Local authorities are coordinating with the health workers and people's representatives and locals to destroy the larva in the town area.
As many as 500 cases of dengue were reported in the district two years ago. Among them, over two dozen succumbed to it, according to the Department of Health.
