The party has started hosting the tea reception on Kojagrat Purnima, the last day of Dashain festival, since 1977. BP Koirala had first organised the tea reception in the name of National Reconciliation after he returned home after an exile in India.
NC spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma on Saturday informed that the party invited the President, Vice-president, the Prime Minister, former prime ministers, and ministers, lawmakers, leaders of all political parties, party workers, diplomats and professionals in the function.
He said the tea reception being held at the party’s central office Sanepa of Lalitpur was for three districts-Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur and the party’s district committee would hold similar tea reception in the remaining 74 districts simultaneously. In districts, the reception will be held in the district headquarters. The party is scheduled to hold the tea reception from 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm on Sunday.
