By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 21: The Standing Committee Meeting of ruling coalition party NCP (Maoist Centre) has decided to form a 175-member contact committee.

"In the meeting held today, a contact committee with Dilli Ram Acharya as the coordinator has been formed," said party spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara.

Briefing about the standing committee meeting, Mahara said that responsibilities had been appointed to 33 different departments of the party. "Of the 33 departments, crisis management department is yet to be formed," he added.

Other than this, Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has been appointed as the in-charge of party schooling department and Giriraj Mani Pokharel has been appointed as the chief.

Similarly, Narayan Kaji Shrestha has been appointed as the chief of the department of foreign affairs, Krishna Bahadur Mahara as the chief of promotion and publicity department, Shakti Bahadur Basnet as the chief of forest and environment department, Janardan Sharma as the chief of organisation department, Barsaman Pun as the chief of finance and planning department, Bamdev Chhetri as the chief of the department of industry, Matrika Yadav as the chief of consumers' rights and supplies department, Bina Magar as the chief of drinking water and cleanliness department, Khimlal Devkota as the chief of election department, Parshuram Tamang as the chief of provincial affairs department, Jhakku Prasad Subedi as the chief of tourism promotion and civil aviation department and Ganesh Shah as the chief of the department of science and technology among others.
