Nepal Communist Party (NCP), dubbed as a jumbo jet prior to its split, has veered off course. A veteran politician has quipped that the NCP jet is hovering over the sky owing to the incompetent pilots. In the past, there were two rival jets in the past: the CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre). Onlookers used to say that those jets were similar in nature, but there were much dissimilarity between them. Though big in size, the UML had already mellowed and was accustomed to the parliamentary practice but the Maoist Centre was still belligerent as it had just come out of jungle warfare.
The pilots of both parties were also completely different in appearance, temperament and body size. The pilot of the UML jet was lean and thin. He was considered to be shrewd and calculative in nature whereas the pilot of the Maoist Centre jet was rather stout, adventurous and sentimental. There was also a significant difference between their speeches and tone. The speeches of the first pilot were sweet and laughter-provoking whereas the second pilot was rather belligerent and rhetoric.
With the passage of time, the passengers of both the jets began demanding that they be assembled into one that they could fly many people to the destination of ‘Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepali’. The two pilots had, in the presence of their loyalist, agreed to create NCP jet and fly it turn by turn.
As the passengers heard this news, their happiness knew no bounds. It was proven that the NCP jet was technically and practically fit to fly. Those much acclaimed pilots started their first flight. The NCP jet took the height and the passengers on the board were full of joys. As they began giggling and laughing with happiness, suddenly they heard that the pilots were indulging in quarrels.
The cause of dispute was not because of overcrowd or a problem with its engines, but for getting the prime seat in the jet. They began swearing each other with the strongest possible terms immediately. The cursing was so merciless and hard-hitting that the passengers started bowing down. The passengers are also fearful that if the rowdy pilots get involved in physical brawl, the NCP jet might meet an accident killing all on board.
Amid this chaos, an old politician on the board has now been claiming that he has also been trained as compromiser. He has said that he could resolve the differences between the haughty pilots and make the CPN jet a safe landing. He deserves kudos for his attempt. If he were successful in solving the dispute and landing of the CPN jet safely, he would be considered as a great hero.
He should seek a compulsory retirement from those arrogant and selfish pilots. They both should be sent in seclusion because they are too old, confused and self-centred. In place of those senile pilots, more energetic and trained ones should be deputed. Such pilots alone can fly the passengers to their destination safely.
