Kathmandu, Oct. 7: This year the Nepali Congress (NC) is not hosting the tea reception that it organizes on the day of the Kojagrat Poornima every year under the Dashain festival. The Kojagrat Poornima falls on October 19 this year.
NC chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel gave this information through a press release today. The press release states that although the fear and size of the COVID-19 pandemic has been reducing after the present government made extensive arrangements for vaccination, the tea reception is not going to be organized on the Kojagrat Poornima day this Dashain as we cannot undervalue the risk of the pandemic.
It is stated that it is the responsibility of all to work together for making the vaccination campaign successful and in saving the life of the people. The NC has also appealed to all to be highly alert to keep oneself and one's family members safe from the coronavirus pandemic while celebrating the festivals.
