NA helicopter rescues a delivering woman

Rukum, Jan, 2: A pregnant woman of the remote village of Puthauttatganga Rural Municipality-5 in East-Rukum was airlifted to Nepalgunj for treatment.
Lilamati BK, 26, was rescued by a Nepal Army helicopter on Wednesday evening when her life was at risk after being unable to give birth to her baby.
She was later admitted in the Bheri Zone Hospital of Nepalgunj, said Mohan Prasad Aryal, Chief District Officer.
Before airlifting her to Nepalgunj, she was brought at local health post to deliver the child. She was facing pregnancy labour for three days.
Similarly, a woman died in a road accident in Butwal of Rupandehi on Wednesday night.
Sapana Poudel, 22, died when a car and her scooter collided head on at Base Camp junction of Butwal Sub-Municipality-10 on Wednesday at 10 pm.
The scooter with registration number Lu 22 Pa 1823 was hit by the car when it was crossing the road.
Scooter rider Paudel died in the accident.
The car driver fled the secene after hitting the scooter and the police was searching for the car, according to the Area Police Office of Butwal.
The car number was yet to be ascertained, said police.
