Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Lekhraj Bhatta has pledged to make initiations to build a dry port at Dodhara Chandani in Kanchanpur.
Speaking at a press meet in Dhangadhi Airport today, the Minister said the dry port was needed not only for the prosperity of Far-West State but for the entire nation, seeking support and cooperation from all for the same.
He also took time to share about the government plan of establishing an industrial zone covering Dundejhari in Kailali and Daijee Chhela in Kanchanpur, adding that the detailed project report ( DPR) has been already prepared towards that end and other processes were going ahead. As he said, the government was committed to promote exporting products to reduce the country's trade deficit. He also pledged to make efforts for establishing a livestock quarantine check-post at Gauriphanta point.
