By MadhusudhanTimilsina, Kavre, Oct.14: Chairperson of the Municipal Association of Nepal and Mayor of the Dulikhel Municipality, Ashok Kumar Bayajnu has tested positive for COVID-19.
Sandeep KC, chief of the Dulikhel Health Department, informed that mayor Bayanju tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test conducted at the Dhulikhel Public Health Laboratory.
After the mayor, along with other officials were found to be infected with the virus, all the services of the Dhulikhel Municipality, except essential services, have been halted.
The notice signed by the Chief Administrative Officer Purshottam Subedi, said that all the services of the municipality and ward offices, except essential services, had been suspended till October 21.
Prior to his, ward chair of Dhulikhel Municipality-1 was infected with the novel coronavirus.
