Damauli, April 21: A cheetah has been taken under control in Tanahun district today.
Madan Kumal of Vyas municipality-6 of Tanahu district took the cheetah under control. Kumal was taking his cattle out for grazing this morning and he heard the cry of a woman. The woman was saying, "Brother save me. A cheetah has attacked me."
Kumal ran towards the woman and saw that inside the cowshed the cheetah was trying to attack her after it failed to attack a buffalo. The wild beast also attacked Kumal soon after he reached there. He fought with the rogue cheetah and got hold of its leg and head.
After fighting with the cheetah for around two minutes, Kumal's brother Bhesh Bahadur also reached the site and Kumal, with his brother, took the cheetah under control.
Kumal said it was easy for him to take the cheetah under control as it was old. He added that they informed police after getting hold of it.
Chief of Division Forest Office, Tanahu, Komal Raj Kafle, said that they have received the information about this and a team is heading towards the incident site.
A total of 10 children have lost their lives to cheetah attack in Tanahu in two years.
