Kathmandu, Oct. 3 : A man has died of coronavirus infection in Lohakinthali of Madhyapur Thimi-1 this morning. The 50-year-old was in home isolation and died on the way to hospital, the family sources said.
The man was a patient of pneumonia, and was confirmed positive five days ago.
He was also an employee of Nepal Electricity Authority. This takes the death toll to 32 in Bhaktapur district.
Likewise, an elderly woman of Damak, Jhapa died of COVID-19.
A resident of ward no. 7 of the municipality, the 68-year-old died at the Koshi COVID-19 hospital in Biratnagar. She had been admitted to the hospital five days ago, according to the municipality health department officer Nagendra Bhattarai.
The death toll in Jhapa has reached 9 so far.
Also today, a 35-year-old man died of the deadly virus in Chitwan.
A patient of liver disease, the man died at 10:44 am this morning, according to the chief of public relations department of the hospital, Durga Neupane. So far, 23 people have died of coronavirus infection in Chitwan.
