Kathmandu, June 21: Humanitarian organisations based in the United States of America have provided health materials worth Rs. 20.7 million to the Pratiman-Neema Memorial Foundation.
The received medical supplies and equipment was handed over to 12 districts of Lumbini Province.
According to Executive Director Swati Thapa of the Foundation, distribution of the materials began from Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal.
Plans to distribute the medical items have been made according to the need of the government hospitals, she said.
The received health materials include oxygen cylinders, oxygen concentrators, Intensive Care Unit beds, PPEs, face masks, face shields, surgical gloves, surgical caps, sanitisers, medical tents, and CPAP machines. 
“We are very pleased and thankful to receive the huge support of crucial medical items from the international organisations in this crisis time,” she said.
As part of the distribution ceremony, the Foundation handed over the medical supplies to Minister of Health and Population of the Lumbini Province last week.
“We thank the international and local partners for their efforts towards fighting the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Bhoj Prasad Shrestha, Minister for Health and Population of the Lumbini Province.
The medical supplies provided to the Province included cylinder (100 units), oxygen regulator sets (100 units), oxygen concentrator (84 units), PPE medical gown and shoe cover  (2000 units), masks (12000 pcs), face shield with specs (4000 units), surgical caps (4000 units), surgical gloves (2000 units), sanitizer (1000 litres), medical tents (5 pcs), BIPAP and CIPAP machine (5 units), ICU beds and mattresses (5 units).
