Pokhara, Dec 17 : Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali said literary contributions to society are spectacular.
In his address to the closing ceremony of IME Nepal Literature Festival jointly organized by Bookworm Foundation and Random Readers Society on Monday, he acknowledged the contributions of literary writers to enrich society through their creative engagement.
It is an important initiative to bring together literary writers and other actors of society, he further said.
The minister also expressed his confidence that such events would help boost tourism in the panoramic city Pokhara.
Ajit Baral, Executive Director, Bookworm Foundation, shared the literature festival held in the vicinity of Fewa Lake in Pokhara from 13-16 December had 40 different sessions. The outstanding award of the literature festival-2019 was handed to Amitab Bagchi.
The 8th edition of the festival had brought together over a dozen of foreign literary writers and more than 10 special speakers, he informed. ---
