Khadbari, April 12 : A 52-year-old woman was killed when she was struck by lightning at Panchkhapan in Sankhuwasabha district on Saturday night.
The incident occurred at 7:30 pm while Dambar Kumari Rai was staying at her home. Hit by the lightning, she died on the spot, according to the District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Mim Lama shared that the dead body was brought to the District Hospital on Saturday night itself for post mortem.
Meanwhile, an elderly man died in a buffalo attack on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Tularam Gurung, 64, of Khandbari municipality-11 in the district.
The domestic buffalo attacked its owner leading to death while it was being taken to shed nearby home, according to the police.
The elderly died on the spot. The dead body was brought to the District Hospital on Saturday for the autopsy.
