Simkot, June 21 : Seven households of Kharpunath rural municipality-3, Karanga village in Surkhet district have been rendered displaced due to imminent risks of landslide.
Seven out of 20 households living in Karanga have shifted to the homes of their relatives after the landslide posed a serious threat to the lives. Hasta Bahadur Shahi, a local, said his family was compelled to shift to the secured place after the landslide debris caused damages to his house.
The excavation of boulders in the cliff above the village has posed a serious threat to the seven households. Incessant rain in the area has increased woes of the locals.
